As a new published Author, it’s diffiuclt to say the least. Getting my name out there, most important getting my book out there. I rely on close friends and family, clients to spread the word about it. Pushing myself and speaking about it. As a “self” published author, once the book is done, once the press release is out there, it is completely up to me to advertise, to promote. So here I am. Maintain my very own web page. Stepping out of my comfort zone and talking about myself, I rather talk about you, build you up. So my friends, my fans. Thank you for following along for this amazing journey. I have my check list on where to send my press release, just say some prayers that at least one person will open it and read the email. That’s all it takes is one famous person to see the book to help spread the word. This section, this is where I plan to keep you up to date, of any new adventures, signings or even readings. So hang on tight folks, it will be bumpy as it take us for a ride of a life time, it may get a little extra bumpy at times. But no dream is successful without bumps! Ask Cinderella! That clock struck midnight!

A little Pebble in this BIG World

I am just a little pebble in this big old world. Just trying to find my way. Yet it seems just so far off, being this little pebble in this big old world, especially when you really don’t have an “in”, know someone. I won’t let it get me down, I won’t let it discourage me. I will continue on; I will find my way in this big old world, Lord willing. And when I do. I will no longer be a pebble in this Big Old World, I will not forget how it was to be that little pebble. When I grow, and the book takes off. When my name is being said through out all readers, I will pay it forward to the next pebble in this big old world. Until then, God is in control. He will put the right people in my path. I just have to believe, I have to have faith in it.

Often we wonder

Often times we wonder, is our hard work being noticed? Will it eventually pay off? I would like to hope it does. I would like to hope if it is going un-noticed that one day that right person will see it, notice it, and help push it to shine.

I will honestly tell you, it is tough juggling life, working a full time job, maintaining a small adventure, kids, writing, marketing and maintaining both a page and website, but I know in the end it will be all worth it, the day that my book is noticed. I am showing my daughter to never give up on your dream, never give up when it seems to get too hard, to push, to pray. To trust. 

I am just an every day average person with little to any knowledge about marketing, blogging, maintaining a page or webpage, but I am doing it. It may not have followers just yet, it may not be the best but I am doing it and I am proud of me for doing it. I will get it, and one day look back at how I persevered through it all. With God’s help that day will come too. 

So until that day comes, I will be here, making those little mistakes, pushing the book, pushing myself to be better then yesterday, pushing myself to be the person I know that I can be, the person God wants me to be.

I truly do not know what I am doing

Yep, you read that right. I truly do not know what I am doing. I have never kept a blog, I have never created or maintain my own web page. I am still learning, and trying to understand it. Like here on WordPress, the company I have my web page with, I am not sure how to “fancy” the page up or maybe I am scared if I try all that I already have set in place will be lost, as well as these posts. I write them here then I copy past to my “my blogs” link because I simply cannot figure how to get it, the post sections, on the tab listing at the top, so why not have it in two spots. LOL. I simply do not know how to get the book out for the world to see. I boost it on Facebook, I am handing out the business cards and even making baskets for fundraisers with the book in it as well in the information. It is just so hard to simply get this book out there especially if you do not have any connections. But here I am, I am trying, even though I don’t have a clue what I am doing and I just might lack at posting too. But here I am, a wife, mother, full time Hairstylist trying all my might to make it.

What ever you do, try with all your might. Trying counts!

Happy New Year 2022

Here we are. Another Year in to our chapter of life. It is totally up to you how you set the tone for the year. Will you set it with a resolution that you set every year because each year it does not happen? Instead why try a new one? Lets be real here, majority, I myself included, never keep to their resolution. So why set one? Because we have hopes to keep it, we have dreams to keep it, we at first have determination to do it. But like life does, things jump in the way. Something causes a road block and we end up staying on that side of the block instead of pushing through the barricade and coming on top.

So instead of a resolution, I have set goals.

First goal would to finish book two with in the first half of the year, then submit it to more then one publisher, see where we go, hopefully get picked up instead of going through self publishing. Lets face it, self publishing is great for authors like myself, a nobody in the book world, something just starting off, but I would truly like to get picked up by a non-self publisher, one that will put both books on the book shelf. T

he most important, and I mean the top dog, most important, this year I am deteremined to let go and let God direct me, the down the path he has chosen me to go to. To read his word more and to learn from him. To listen. Even if I don’t agree or understand, simply listen.

Another goal I have set is to be more active here, on this page, on my Facebook page and my Instagram. I am still learning how to do this site, wordpress, so that is why you will see a “post” pop up if you set up to follow me and see the same post under my blogs tab. I have tried to get the post tab to stay up but it does not and from a readers point of view, I cannot find the posts other then clicking on the link when I am notified I posted something. So I am trying to keep it simple for you.

I am truly grateful for everyone’s support and push in 2021 and continued push into the New Year. It is because of you all, asking when the second book is coming, that you loved the first one, that has my fingers typing away, my brain going. THANK YOU!

Let me just say from first poem to the last, you will feel the author, Jennifer’s, soul speak to you. You feel her emtions, you feel her pain, you feel her joy, her excitement and mostly love. She writes on a personal level. Some of the poem’s are lengthy but it works. They grab your attention the way she writes them. My favortie poem in this book is called: An Oath to my Angel. Thinking of the Future

I am actually very excited to see what is to come in the future. My wonderful husband I are planning to take his early retirment, sell the house with everything included, buy a camper and just cruise. Life is really just to short not to enjoy it. And as I am sitting here in the passenger seat of my expedition, he is driving, we are going up and down and around bends heading to northern part of PA, I relized just how amazing this plan is. I can type my books, as we crusie, and I pray one day that one of my books will get picked up by a big publisher. I mean how amazing does this sound. I would blog our daily adventures. Share our fun. I mean why not, right? And folks I am not talking like tomorrow, its more like 12-15 years away, I still have one kid to send off to the airforce and one off to college. One will graduate highschool in 5 years while the other has 11 to go. So we are truly talking about years to come. But why not get excited and plan something. Why not enjoy life. Let go of things from the past and enjoy every second, every moment of each and every day. I am so totally excited about this move! Can you feel my excitment?

If we can’t plan ahead then what excitment do we have to look foreward to? Life is just to short not to live it.
